Come, spend time with Jesus!!!!
First Friday 9:00 am until Benediction on Saturday 8:15 am
Exposition & and Adoration
of the Blessed Sacrament
“Jesus Christ is truly Emmanuel, God-with-us from His Incarnation until the end of time. And He is this in a particular intense and hidden way in the mystery of His continual Presence in the Eucharist. What vital strength, what consolation, what firm hope is discovered in contemplating the mystery of the Eucharist! It is God-with-us that enables us to share in life and impels us to go out and evangelize the world, to sanctify it!” (Pope John Paul II)
On the First Friday of each month, following the 8:30 am Mass, we are blessed to be able to take part in Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for 23 hours, until Benediction on Saturday morning at 8:15 am .
(Note: If the Saturday is a “First Saturday,” there will be a First Saturday Mass at 8:30 am)
Come spend time with Jesus
in the Blessed Sacrament!
If you would be like to sign up to commit to being with Jesus at a specific time, please contact Pete Nashif at 428-1836 for more information. Adorers are needed for all the hours between 9:00 Friday morning and 8:00 Saturday morning.
But everyone is urged to come to the Church during this time. As Fr. Tim said: “If the definition of being in heaven is to be with God, then to be present before the Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament is to spend time with Him in heaven while here on earth.
“[On the first Friday of each month] the members of St. Mary Church have both the opportunity and the privilege of spending an hour in heaven by spending an hour in prayer before Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.
“This time before the Lord in the Sacrament of His Sacrifice is a blessing, one that offers many spiritual benefits to the individual soul as well as to the soul of the St. Mary Parish family. There is an old adage that the family that prays together stays together; the same is true of the parish family. Not only will this time before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament strengthen the bonds of the parish family with the Lord, but it will also be a source of refreshment, encouragement and conversion for the entire parish.”
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come to Thee
That with Thy saints I may praise Thee
Forever and ever.
Amen.
