All ladies of the parish: Did you know that you are a member of the Rosary Altar Society? How wonderful to belong to a group of women dedicated to the support of their parish and its members! We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month following the 7:00 p.m. Mass in the Father Fisher Hall. Following the business meeting, we enjoy wonderful fellowship and refreshments.
The Altar Society performs many wonderful, charitable acts not only for our church and its members but for other worthy organizations as well. Here is a sampling of works, with your assistance, performed by the Altar Society:
—Provide Baptismal plaques and prayer cards to all infants baptized in our church.
—Deliver plants to shut-ins at Christmas.
—Assisted St. Joseph workers with the Benefit Harvest Dinner for Sr. Annrita Bauer.
—Purchase candles, altar cloths, purificators, etc. for use at Mass.
—Purchase some of the vestments worn by Father Tim in the celebration of Mass.
—Send cards to the sick.
—Participate in the “Christmas in the Village.”
There are so many more things done by these loving women that are a blessing to others. Won’t you please make it a point to join us and volunteer your time and talents for such worthy service? In Titus 2:7 we read: “And here you yourself must be an example to them of good deeds of every kind…”
